Tumuaki Takirua - Mairangi Campbell
He uri tēnei nō Ngāti Porou, Tūhoe, Rongomaiwahine me te iwi. Ko Mairangi tōku ingoa. Kia ora, my name is Mairangi and I am the Tumuaki Takirua of Ngāi Tauira. I study a conjoint Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science, majoring in Data Science. This year, our focus is on returning to the basics and deepening our understanding of who we are as an association. Tumuaki Takirua - Manaia Puha
He uri tenei nō Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Whakātere me te iwi whānui. Ko Manaia Puha tōku ingoa. Kia ora, my name is Puha, and I am one of the Tumuaki Takirua for Ngāi Tauira. I am currently studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting. This year, we are placing emphasis on going back to our foundations and strengthening our understanding of our identity as an association. Pou Tikanga - Mairurangi Hakaraia
Ko wai tēnei e tū atu nei? Ko Mairurangi Hakaraia tōku ingoa. He iti tēnei nō Raukawa, nō Kuia, nō Ngāti Tahu, nō Hauiti anō hoki. Ko au, he manu pīrere nō Te Kōhanga Reo, he raukura nō Te Kura Kaupapa Māori anō hoki. Arā ia te kōrero, tamaiti akona i te marae, tū ana ki te ao, tau ana. Tēnei au kua tau ki Te Herenga Waka, ki te whare wānanga kia tū hei Pou Tikanga mō Ngāi Tauira i tēnei tau!
As your Vice President, I’m responsible for leading kaupapa Māori initiatives such as kapa haka, uplifting te reo Māori me ōna tikanga, and representing you in board meetings!
Kia Ora e te iwi, ko Tui toku ingoa. He uri au no Te Tai Tokerau. Ko Ngati Kahu ki whangaroa raua ko Ngati Ruapani oku iwi. My name is Tui and I am the Kaituhi/Secretary for Ngai Tauira 2026. My role as Kaituhi is to record and collate information of the execution committees decisions, actions and planning to ensure our progress can be accessible to those who support our mahi. My focus for this year is to make the best of this role and use it to engage with various Tauira and help to provide as many resources as possible.

Kia ora! Ko Shay tōku ingoa, He uri ahau nō Te Aitanga-a-Māhaki, Te Whānau a Kai, Ngāti Pāhauwera, me Ngāti Porou! Ko au te Āpiha Mātauranga mō Ngāi Tauira i te tau 2026.
I’m currently in my third year with plans to one day pursue a PhD. Part of my mahi is to work alongside staff here at Te Herenga Waka to ensure that there is equity amongst tauira, particularly for tauira Māori. For 2026 my main focus is to ensure successful outcomes that uplift our Māori students in every part of their academic journey.
Āpiha Hauora - Ema-Kahurangi Richmond
Tēnā tātou! Ko Ema-Kahurangi Richmond tōku ingoa. I tipu ake au ki Papaioea, ēngari he uri au nō Taranaki, Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Tūwharetoa me Te Aitanga-a-Māhaki anō hoki. As your Āpiha Hauora, I’m here to support the hauora of our tauira Māori — whether that’s through sport, wellbeing initiatives, or creating spaces where you feel supported and empowered. My goal is to uplift our tauira in ways that honour our whakapapa and strengthen both tinana and hinengaro. Being a tauira Māori isn’t always easy, and balancing everything can be hard, thats why I’m passionate about making sure our tauira have access to the opportunities, and community they deserve. Keen for a kōrero or a gym buddy? I’m always around — give us a yell!
